“In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.” – Romans 12:6
Volunteering in Saddleback Kids gives you an opportunity to use the skills and interests that God has given you to serve others. A volunteer may lead worship, teach from our set curriculum, be involved in video production, help with Kids Small Groups or focus on one of many other areas in our ministry. Saddleback Kids has many different roles and aims to place volunteers where they are shaped by God to serve.
“All of you together are Christ’s body.…” – 1 Corinthians 12:27
We are blessed with a wonderful family of men and women, boys and girls, who give their time to the church to honor God and to love others. Volunteers play a vital role in all that our church accomplishes.
If you are currently a Saddleback Kids volunteer, thank you. Your efforts for God through the church are making a difference in the lives of many children. If you are thinking of becoming a volunteer, we thank you. We pray for God to guide you in this important decision.

Kid’s Small Group (KSG) Leaders are specifically trained to serve in our mid-week discipleship program for kids aged preschool-grade 6. KSG Leaders are responsible for teaching and equipping the kids with tools on how to develop a relationship with Christ and what it means to be part of the church. By committing to serve for the same class every week, KSG Leaders are able to help encourage and teach the kids how to grow spiritually by helping them gain a better understanding of God’s love.
Our weekend leaders are trained and equipped to provide age-appropriate programs every weekend for kids from nursery – sixth grade. The kids are cared for and taught God’s word in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. By having our weekend leaders commit to serving every weekend, our hope is that the kids will become familiar with their leaders, encouraging them to come back the following week so they can continue to connect with God and others.
Special Event Leaders commit to serve for our Saddleback Kids special events. Our special events include Main Event, Fall Fest, and special holiday parties. Responsibilities can include helping with set up, tear down, decorations, set design, or with the production. Our special event leaders are also able to establish relationships with the kids and families by helping them to feel and become part of our church family.
