APRIL CALMES

Hi everyone! I am Dean, the Saddleback Kids Director for Saddleback Rancho Capistrano. Here are a few fun facts about me. I have been married 29 years to my beautiful wife, Cassandra. We have four children, Carissa, Sophia, Zoey and Nathan (yes, Nathan and I are outnumbered by twice as many girls). We are huge movie fans and have been known to speak entirely in movie quotes during the weirdest situations. Awkward? Usually, but it is a lot of fun, haha.

I LOVE our children’s ministry. We work hard to make sure every child understands they are loved by God and by their church family. Our children build new friendships, sing and dance together in worship, play games and enjoy each other’s company. Together, we have a whole lot of fun and learn a whole lot about Jesus.

Our church campus at Saddleback Rancho Capistrano is beautiful. We are blessed to enjoy services and events together on a property that is full of nature. Complete with grand trees, lots of green grass, a lake and historically rich buildings—some of which date back hundreds of years. It is a welcoming site every time you visit. That said, our greatest assets are the genuine, kind and loving people in our church family. We do not just worship and serve together, although those are some of the best times, we help and support one another through the seasons of life. Simply put, we get to do life together as a family.
