Kids Small Groups (KSG) is the discipleship program for children in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 6 at Saddleback Church. Our youngest disciples (Pre-K to Grade 2) take an in-depth look at foundational Bible stories in the Old then New Testament as they discover how God wants them to BE in their day-to-day living. Our upper elementary (Grades 3 to 6) students work through the children’s version of CLASS 101-401 learning how to belong, grow, serve and share Jesus. Groups are led by at least two adult leaders who engage the group through creative storytelling, group discussion, interactive games, verse memorization, service opportunities and much more. Opportunities for groups to be involved in our PEACE missions strategy are available throughout the year in group projects, culminating in an opportunity to go on a Global PEACE Trip upon completion of Children’s 101 to 401 as 6th graders.
KSG meets on-campus during the midweek for an hour-and-a-half during the academic school year. Registration is required and the fees go to cover curriculum workbooks, quiet time journals or coloring books, supplies for Grades 3 to 6, midyear awards for Pre-K to Grade 2 and programs throughout the KSG season. Kids stay with the same group of friends and leaders for the school year and even ideally for the duration of their KSG journey.
“Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow.”
